The Zueitina Oil Company has restarted the diesel production unit at the Zalla field, bringing it back into service with high efficiency, following its shutdown since March 2015 due to a complex technical fault, according to a statement from the National Oil Corporation.
After resuming operations, the unit’s production capacity reached approximately 500 barrels of diesel per day, which helps meet the field’s operational needs and enhances the continuity of work there.
Recently, specialized teams of engineers and technicians began maintenance and repair work, and within a short period managed to overcome technical challenges and obstacles, despite limited capabilities and a shortage of spare parts.
The Corporation stated that this achievement reflects the efficiency and capability of the national workforce in the oil sector to find innovative technical solutions and accomplish results under difficult conditions, confirming the role of national competencies in supporting the stability and sustainability of oil operations.
The Board of Directors of the National Oil Corporation praised the efforts made by the workers, appreciating their dedication, high national spirit, and creativity in addressing technical faults and ensuring the efficient return of production units to operation.
