Tripoli, February 16, 2026 – Under the supervision of the Planning Institute and in cooperation with the United Nations Development Programme, the second workshop titled “Integrating Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain Technologies in Education and Scientific Research” was held this morning at the Institute’s headquarters. This initiative is part of efforts to support digital transformation and promote innovation in academic and research institutions.
The workshop was attended by a number of specialists, academics, and individuals interested in modern technologies. The session reviewed mechanisms for employing artificial intelligence and blockchain technologies to develop the educational process and enhance the outcomes of scientific research.
In a related context, it was announced that the Institute will launch a study program for a professional Master’s degree in Financial Technology and Islamic Banking. It was emphasized that this program aligns with the Institute’s vision to support innovation and develop professional competencies, contributing to achieving digital transformation within financial institutions and localizing Islamic banking in Libya.
