Tripoli, February 15, 2026 – The Tripoli Security Directorate announced the death of a woman and her two children due to a fire that broke out inside their home located on Al-Zawiya Street in the capital, Tripoli.
The directorate stated in a post that preliminary information indicates the cause of the fire was an electrical short circuit, confirming that all necessary legal procedures have been taken and an investigation has been opened to determine the precise circumstances of the incident.
It explained that rescue and ambulance vehicles, along with teams from the National Safety Authority, rushed to the site immediately upon receiving the report. The fire was dealt with and attempts were made to rescue the occupants of the house; however, the incident resulted in the deaths of the mother and her two children due to the fire.
