The company stated that the Q125 well has begun production as part of a broader development program aimed at increasing output and improving recovery rates across its fields. Waha credited investments in modern engineering technology and enhanced safety standards as key factors in achieving these gains.

The producer drilled 81 wells in 2025—including oil, gas, water-injection, and disposal wells—despite what it described as challenging operating conditions that required continuous coordination between field and engineering teams.

Development drilling added over 40,000 barrels per day of incremental capacity, raising Waha’s average production to approximately 354,000 barrels per day this year, according to the company.
