The Volkswagen Touareg is approaching the end of its production run, and the company is preparing to mark the occasion with special edition models set for release by 2027.
Vehicle Price
Volkswagen is preparing to launch a special edition named the “Touareg Final Edition,” with a starting price of 72,000 pounds, and an “R Final Edition” starting at 82,000 pounds. Both will be equipped with distinctive design elements, such as a laser-illuminated logo on the rear window, engraved logos on the gear selector, and illuminated logos on the dashboard.
Vehicle Design
The price of the “Touareg Final Edition” is about two thousand pounds less than the “Black Edition,” but it will come with additional features, such as Valcona leather seats, driver assistance systems, and a larger 90-liter fuel tank to supply the 281-horsepower V6 diesel engine.
The special editions will also be equipped with a 15-inch touchscreen for the infotainment system, 21-inch wheels, a steering system, and Volkswagen’s proprietary “Park Assist Pro” system.
All-Wheel Drive System
They are also equipped with the “4Motion” all-wheel-drive system and an eight-speed automatic transmission. However, the “R Final” model replaces the diesel engine with a plug-in hybrid powertrain producing 456 horsepower, enabling the car to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in approximately five seconds.
The luxurious Touareg represents more than just a product line; it is the last remaining model from Volkswagen’s highly ambitious engineering era under the leadership of its late chairman, Ferdinand Piëch.
