Tripoli, February 3, 2026 – The United Nations Support Mission in Libya has called on young men and women from various regions of the country to apply for the volunteer youth communications team supporting the structured dialogue, to contribute to creating content for the youth digital platform throughout the dialogue period.

The UN mission stated that volunteer opportunities will be available to 16 young men and women aged between 18 and 35, who possess communication skills and creative content creation abilities, and have an interest in the political process.

It indicated that this initiative will enable Libyan youth to participate effectively in the structured dialogue and ensure that the priorities of their communities are conveyed to the four dialogue tracks.

Volunteers will receive support from the mission through training via the “Basira” professional media development program. They will have the opportunity to present their ideas on the best ways to communicate about the core issues of the dialogue. This opportunity will enhance leadership, communication, and civic participation skills, contributing to an informed public debate.

It was emphasized that youth represent an important part of the structured dialogue, constituting approximately 38% of the population and being the driving force for building the country. This opportunity allows young men and women to participate in the process more broadly than those involved in the dialogue teams.

The mission set February 15 of this year as the final deadline for registration. Applicants must meet the following conditions: be between 18 and 35 years old, reside in Libya; be politically independent; the work must be voluntary; have proven experience in creating content for social media, including videos and written content; and be confident in their ability to conduct interviews.

According to the mission, it is preferred that applicants have a large number of followers on social media; be available to volunteer for up to ten days per month; commit to actively participating in the mandatory online journalism training provided by the mission throughout the dialogue period; in addition to preparing youth-oriented content to highlight the main topics of the structured dialogue.

The mission aims to begin training the selected young volunteers in early March next. The first team of four individuals will attend the structured dialogue deliberations to prepare content, with group members rotating monthly.
