Tripoli, February 5, 2026 – The Acting Minister of Interior in the Government of National Unity, Imad Mustafa al-Trabelsi, has issued urgent instructions to the Director of Security for the Central Mountain region, demanding immediate submission of the investigation results regarding the death of citizen Saif al-Islam Muammar Gaddafi.
According to the letter directed to the Director of Security for the Central Mountain region, published by the Ministry through its media office, al-Trabelsi requested a detailed report including the facts, the measures taken since the moment the incident was reported, the authorities that conducted the investigation, and the results it yielded.
He also requested clarification of any difficulties encountered during the investigation and proposals for addressing them, to ensure transparency and the proper administration of justice.
