Tripoli, December 26, 2025 — The Non-Communicable Diseases Management Team at the National Center for Disease Control conducted a series of awareness lectures at the Libya Telecom Company. The lectures aimed to introduce non-communicable diseases, their risk factors, and methods of prevention.

The Center explained via its Facebook page that this step comes within the framework of the national strategy aimed at building a “Libya free of non-communicable diseases” and enhancing health prevention programs in work environments.

The campaign targeted raising health awareness among employees about the nature of non-communicable diseases and their associated risk factors.

The lectures covered awareness about diabetes and pre-diabetes, emphasizing the importance of early screening and methods of control and prevention. Additionally, they addressed high blood pressure, its risk factors, and means of prevention and control, as well as raising awareness about the dangers of smoking and digital eye strain.

The team also conducted examinations to measure blood pressure and blood sugar levels, along with obesity measurements. This was done with the aim of early detection and assessing the health status of previously diagnosed cases.
