The Libyan Football Federation has determined the format and competition system for the Libya Cup for the 2025–2026 sports season, announcing that only clubs from the Premier League will participate in the cup competition for the current season.
The Federation clarified that matches will be played in a single-elimination knockout format. Preliminary matches up to the semi-finals will be conducted through qualifiers where teams from the First and Second Zones will compete separately.
The First Zone includes clubs from the Western Region, numbering 19 clubs, while the Second Zone includes clubs from the Eastern Region, numbering 17 clubs.
