Cairo, January 21, 2026 – The 56th meeting of the Arab Standing Committee for Communications and Information commenced on Monday at the headquarters of the Egyptian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in Cairo. The meeting was attended by the General Authority for Communications and Informatics, Arab member states, entities with observer status at the Arab Ministerial Council for Communications and Information, as well as a number of regional groups, organizations, and partners concerned with the communications and information technology sector.
The meeting discussed many important topics, including the results of the working group meetings affiliated with the committee, a review of the activities of observer entities at the Arab Ministerial Council for Communications and Information, discussions on the Arab Strategy for Communications and Information (the Arab Digital Agenda), and a set of agenda items related to developing the communications and information technology sector in the Arab region.
