Benghazi, January 25, 2026 – The Supreme National Commission for Elections announced the adoption of the final results for the election of the General Syndicate of Sports Media Professionals. This decision is based on Commission Council Resolution No. (41) of 2026, following the completion of all legal and regulatory procedures in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations.

The Commission confirmed in its resolution that the electoral process took place within an organized legal framework and in accordance with the approved procedures for electing professional syndicates, unions, and associations. This ensures the principles of integrity, transparency, and equal opportunities among candidates. The Commission indicated that the announcement of the final results came after completing the appeals stage and adjudicating all observations received on the preliminary results.

According to the text of the resolution, the Commission approved the victory of the “Libya with its Pulse” list in the elections for the General Syndicate of Sports Media Professionals. The winning list included Nasr al-Din Fawzi Abd al-Qadir al-Mahdi as Syndicate President, Ali al-Sadiq Hamid Ahamidat as Vice President, along with Fathi Ahmed Suleiman Hamza, Fathi al-Taher Abd al-Salam Darkah, and Masoud Mohammed Ali al-Rammash as members of the Syndicate Council.

It was clarified that the adoption of the final results represents an important step towards activating the professional role of the syndicate and enhancing the status of sports media in Libya. This contributes to regulating the profession, defending the rights of its members, and establishing the foundations of institutional union work.

It was added that these elections constitute a model of national institutions’ commitment to the legal path and reflect the importance of partnership between the Supreme National Commission for Elections and professional bodies. This is within the framework of supporting institutional stability and entrenching the principles of governance and transparency in managing syndicate affairs.
