Tripoli, February 9, 2026 – The High National Elections Commission announced on Monday that appeals against the preliminary results of the municipal council elections (Group Three – 2025) can be filed within two working days from the date the preliminary results are published.
The Commission specified that appeals regarding the mentioned results must be filed before the primary courts located within the jurisdiction of the targeted municipalities on Tuesday and Wednesday, February 10 and 11 of the current month. This is in accordance with the provisions of Chapter Ten (Appeals) of the Executive Regulations for Municipal Council Elections.
The Commission had earlier issued a decision today regarding the approval of the preliminary results for the municipal council elections (Tajoura – Al-Jadida – Sayyad and Al-Hashan) which were held last Saturday.
The Elections Commission also announced the formation of the elected municipal council in Suluq, which will be confirmed after the announcement of the final results for the municipal council elections “Group Three – 2025”.
