Workshop on the mechanism for activating Cabinet Resolution No. (441) of 2013 regarding military personnel, organized by the Military Retirement Administration. Tripoli, January 4, 2025.

The workshop, attended by heads of military retirement departments from various branches, focused on establishing a mechanism to apply the resolution to new retirement pensions, in addition to readjusting current pensions in line with the approved increase for those concerned.

It was stated that the system will enable its users to complete the settlement process and accurately calculate entitlement formulas and payable amounts, in addition to unifying the procedures followed by retirement departments.

It was confirmed that this event is part of the fund’s efforts to translate legal texts into practical, executable procedures and to work seriously on activating them to achieve justice and livelihood stability.

It was clarified that the text of the resolution included military personnel currently in service and members of the armed forces, based on Article Nine of the Military Retirement Law No. (43) of 1974.

It was added that the workshop addressed defining the paths and controls to be observed when implementing the resolution, alongside discussing the most prominent challenges that might face the implementation process and proposing solutions and suggestions to overcome them, ensuring proper implementation in accordance with the correct law and practical reality.
