English technical director Liam Rosinior said on Tuesday that he had verbally agreed to become the next coach of English club Chelsea, adding that it was “an opportunity I cannot refuse.”

Rosinior added in a press conference held at his current club, Strasbourg of France: “It seems I will be the next coach of that club (Chelsea),” succeeding former technical director Marisca.

After a year and a half at the Alsace region club, he will succeed Italian Enzo Marisca in the coaching seat of the West London club, which, like Strasbourg, is owned by the American consortium “BlueCo.”

Guardiola on Marisca’s dismissal: Chelsea lost an amazing coach

Marisca, who previously worked as an assistant to Guardiola at Manchester City during the 2022-2023 season, left Chelsea after a series of modest performances, which prompted Guardiola to speak about stability at Manchester City.
