The Chairman of the National Oil Corporation (NOC) held talks with the General Manager of Eni North Africa – Libya Branch regarding gas sales agreements between the two sides.
According to a statement issued by the NOC, the meeting focused on reviewing work progress at Mellitah Oil and Gas Company, a joint venture between the NOC and the Italian company Eni, as well as development projects in the offshore Area (D).
Both sides stressed the importance of coordination with the relevant departments to ensure smooth operations and the implementation of projects in line with the approved timelines.
National Oil Corporation
The National Oil Corporation (NOC) is the state-owned oil company of Libya, established in 1970 to oversee the country’s petroleum resources and manage all phases of the oil and gas industry. It was founded following the nationalization of the Libyan oil sector under Muammar Gaddafi’s government, consolidating control over the nation’s most vital economic asset.
Eni North Africa
Eni North Africa refers to the regional operations of the Italian energy company Eni in North African countries, primarily focused on oil and gas exploration and production.
