Misrata, December 27, 2025 – The Municipality of Misrata has announced that tomorrow, Sunday, will be an official holiday within the municipality’s jurisdiction. This is to enable employees and citizens to participate in the funeral ceremonies for the martyrs: Field Marshal Mohammed Al-Haddad, Chief of the General Staff of the Libyan Army, and his comrades.

The municipality clarified that the funeral ceremonies will be held at 11:00 AM at the Sports City, given the profound symbolic and national significance of this immense loss.

The Municipality of Misrata has also exempted institutions and facilities providing humanitarian and security services from the holiday decision, while preserving the rights of their workers in accordance with the provisions of applicable laws and regulations.
