Misrata, February 16, 2026 – The official ceremony commemorating the fifteenth anniversary of the February 17th Revolution commenced this Monday evening in the city of Misrata, with the lighting of the torch marking the beginning of the national events honoring this occasion.
The torch procession set off on foot from in front of the Martyrs’ Exhibition, passing by the Higher Institute of Science and Technology, and reaching its final location beside the flagpole, amidst a solemn national atmosphere.
The torch was carried by scouts and guides from the Misrata Commission, with participation from patrols of the city’s security agencies, and in the presence of a wide attendance and participation from citizens, in a scene that embodies the spirit of loyalty and affirms the continuity of generations on the path of giving to the nation.
