Tripoli, January 20, 2026 – The Ministry of Labor and Rehabilitation of the Government of National Unity launched the National Employment Campaign this week. The campaign aims to empower job seekers, enhance employment opportunities for youth, and replace foreign labor with national workers, in accordance with the needs of the labor market.

Labor and occupational safety inspectors have begun implementing field visits covering a number of workplaces, companies, and institutions across various sectors. These visits are to ensure compliance with employing national labor, formalizing official work contracts according to existing legislation, monitoring violations, and taking legal actions regarding them.

According to the Ministry, this campaign aims to organize the labor market and ensure the application of laws, which contributes to providing real and sustainable job opportunities for Libyan youth.
