Manchester City’s heart came from behind against host Liverpool to secure a precious 2-1 victory in the headline match of the 25th round of the English Premier League, continuing their pursuit of Arsenal in the title race.

At Anfield, the scoring was opened by Hungarian Dominik Szoboszlai in the 74th minute, before Bernardo Silva managed to equalize for Manchester City in the 84th minute.

In stoppage time, the Norwegian snatched the winning goal for the Sky Blues, scoring a penalty in the third minute of added time in the second half, marking his first goal in a Manchester City shirt at Anfield.

The match saw tension in its final minutes, as Liverpool finished the game with ten men after Szoboszlai was sent off in the 12th minute of stoppage time.

With this victory, Manchester City raised its tally to 50 points in second place, reducing the gap to four points behind leaders Arsenal, with 13 rounds remaining until the end of the season, while Liverpool’s points tally froze at 39 points in sixth place.
