Libyan honey has won 4 gold medals plus a platinum medal at the “Paris International Honey Awards 2026,” an annual competition organized to select the world’s highest quality honey.

This qualitative achievement highlights the quality of the national product and its competitive ability on the global map, according to the “Bee Development and Promotion Authority” in Benghazi, which, along with a number of specialized Libyan companies, has succeeded in registering Libya’s name on the list of leading countries in this field.

The International Honey Competition in Paris is a prestigious global platform for evaluating the quality of honey and bee products according to the strictest and most precise international standards.

Libya is capable of competing and innovating
It was stated: “This honorable achievement represents the culmination of the continuous efforts and diligent work of national cadres and companies operating in the sector, and is practical proof of the excellence possessed by our national product.”

It was added: “We congratulate our team and the winning companies, and we affirm that this victory is a clear message to the world that Libya, despite challenges, is capable of competing and innovating in international forums, and raising its flag high with products of good reputation.”

The Bee Development and Promotion Authority in Benghazi confirms that “these honorable results are not an endpoint, but rather an incentive and support for continuing to develop the beekeeping and honey production sector, as it is one of the promising vital sectors that contributes to diversifying the national economy and enhancing exports.”

This achievement also embodies the fruit of constructive cooperation between the Authority, the private sector, and beekeepers, and the commitment to applying best practices and global standards.
