Tripoli, December 21, 2025 – The National Center for Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster Management participated in the activities of the first Arab Forum for Early Warning and Disaster Preparedness, launched by the League of Arab States in Cairo under the slogan “Together for Better Coordination and More Effective Response.”
The Center stated on its website that the forum witnessed broad participation from representatives of a number of Arab countries, regional and international organizations, United Nations agencies, along with a select group of experts and specialists in the fields of disaster risk reduction.
The Center affirmed that the forum is being held amidst an escalation in the frequency and severity of natural and non-natural disasters witnessed in the Arab region, and the increasing humanitarian, economic, and developmental repercussions they cause. This necessitates the development of early warning systems and the enhancement of preparedness and readiness as a fundamental pillar for protecting lives and property and increasing the resilience of communities.
The Center’s participation comes as a confirmation of its commitment to strengthening international coordination and the exchange of expertise, and supporting regional efforts aimed at building a more efficient early warning system, which contributes to achieving an effective and integrated response to various risks and emergencies.
