Tripoli, December 21, 2025 – The Minister of Tourism and Traditional Industries discussed efforts to revitalize tourism between the two countries and expand cooperation in traditional industries during a meeting held today, Sunday.

The meeting, which took place in Tripoli, discussed ways to encourage tourism companies in both countries, overcome existing difficulties, and enhance coordination between the relevant institutions in both nations.

During the meeting, the Minister referred to a memorandum of understanding in the field of traditional industries, explaining that it will be signed at the earliest opportunity. He also touched on the field of training in traditional industries, proposing the possibility of the Ministry hosting a number of Tunisian specialists in ceramics and carpets, a proposal that was welcomed.

For his part, the Tunisian Chargé d’Affaires expressed his thanks and appreciation for the Libyan Minister of Tourism’s support for Tunisia’s bid to host the Arab Tourism Capital for 2027. He affirmed the depth of fraternal relations between Libya and Tunisia and his country’s keenness to enhance bilateral cooperation in the service of common interests.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides affirmed their commitment to continuing joint efforts to enhance cooperation and encourage tourism and traditional industries between the two countries, contributing to supporting development and strengthening fraternal ties.
