As part of the cultural activities accompanying the event, and two days before the launch of the “Libyan Film Festival,” the “House Dialogue” series is hosting a discussion session this Sunday that combines a lecture with a cultural conversation, titled “Culture and the Making of Visual Imagery in the Methodology of Reading Jewelry.”

The session highlights the relationship between culture and visual imagery, and how to read jewelry as a visual element carrying social, aesthetic, and historical significance.

The session begins at 5:30 PM and lasts for half an hour, within an open dialogue atmosphere targeting those interested in imagery, cinema, and visual heritage. It serves as a prelude to broader discussions opened by the Libyan Film Festival concerning image, identity, and culture.

House Dialogue

The House Dialogue is a contemporary cultural center in Berlin, Germany, focused on fostering conversations about social and political issues through art and public discourse. It was established in the early 21st century, repurposing a historic building to serve as a dynamic forum for exhibitions, workshops, and debates. Its programming is dedicated to exploring themes of democracy, migration, and urban development.

Libyan Film Festival

The Libyan Film Festival is an international cultural event founded in 2011, emerging after the fall of the Gaddafi regime to celebrate and promote Libyan cinema and storytelling. It primarily takes place abroad, often in London, providing a platform for Libyan filmmakers to share their work with a global audience and foster creative dialogue.
