Jumhouria Bank has issued a warning following the discovery of a fraudulent app impersonating its name and logo on social media platforms.
In a statement, the bank urged customers to exercise extreme caution and to avoid downloading or using any unofficial applications claiming to be affiliated with it.
The bank stated that such apps could put users’ bank accounts at risk of being hacked and could lead to the theft of personal and financial information.
Customers are advised to download the official app only from trusted stores and not to share sensitive information through suspicious links. The bank emphasized that it cannot be held responsible for any losses resulting from the use of unverified applications.
