Amman, January 6, 2026 – Jordanian television reported that the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, Lieutenant General Yusuf Ahmed Al-Huneiti, received in Amman on Tuesday the Deputy Commander-in-Chief of the Libyan Arab Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Saddam Khalifa Abu Al-Qasim, and his accompanying delegation.
The television clarified that the two sides discussed prospects for joint military cooperation and coordination, and the exchange of expertise in the fields of training and capacity building, within the framework of supporting defense partnerships and enhancing the ability to address common security challenges.
It indicated that during the meeting, explanations were heard that included the main axes of modernization and development witnessed by the Jordanian Armed Forces, in addition to their ongoing humanitarian and relief efforts in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
