Brazilian striker Endrick, a player for French club Lyon, has been named the best player in France for the month of January. The star, on loan from Real Madrid, continued his remarkable form under coach Paulo Fonseca, requiring no adaptation period.
The Brazilian international received 52% of the votes, surpassing his competitors Mason Greenwood (32%) and Pavel Solk (16%).
In the 6 matches he played for Lyon, Endrick scored 5 goals and provided 1 assist. The young striker also managed to score his first professional hat-trick.
The French Professional Footballers’ Union announced today that the young Brazilian star won the Ligue 1 Player of the Month award.
The Union’s official account confirmed that Endrick achieved exceptional accomplishments in a short time, most notably scoring his first hat-trick and winning his first Player of the Month award in his European career, after an excellent start with Lyon.
Endrick joined Lyon during the last winter transfer window, after suffering from a lack of playing opportunities at Real Madrid under coach Chapi Alonso, leading him to seek a new, temporary experience in search of sufficient playing time.
