Tripoli, January 06, 2025 – The State Minister for Women’s Affairs in the Government of National Unity has categorically denied what has been circulated on some anonymous social media pages, regarding a statement attributed to her about the existence of any agreement or intention to issue a decision related to the legal questioning of inheritance distribution between males and females.

In a clarifying statement, she confirmed that these statements are incorrect and fabricated, and were not issued by her or by the Presidency of the Government, noting that the words and law of God cannot be changed by any person.

She stated that Libya is a Muslim country with clear principles, and that issues related to Sharia and constitutional rulings are not raised or decided through anonymous publications or misleading media interpretations.

In her statement, she called on everyone to verify accuracy and rely on official statements issued by the competent authorities, confirming that she reserves her legal right to pursue the promoters of false news that aim to cause confusion and distort positions.
