The Trade and Development Bank has announced that loading international electronic payment cards with foreign currency will be done exclusively against a cash deposit, in implementation of the instructions from the Central Bank of Libya and the Banking and Currency Control Administration.

According to circulating information, this measure applies to all reservations for the month of December, meaning only transactions where a cash deposit was made from December 1, 2025, until today’s date will be accepted.

The bank clarified that any transaction not involving a direct cash deposit will be rejected, emphasizing the necessity for customers to adhere to this condition to ensure loading operations are carried out without delay.
