Honor continues to escalate competition in the smartphone market by promoting its new Magic8 Pro Air phone, through which it aims to rival the Air-class thin phones offered by Apple and Samsung.
According to circulating leaks, the phone features a sturdy, water and dust-resistant body, with an ultra-thin design measuring 6.1 mm in thickness and weighing 155 grams, a move that reflects Honor’s focus on combining lightness with durability.
The device relies on a 6.3-inch OLED display with a resolution of 1200 × 2640 pixels, a 120Hz refresh rate, a pixel density of approximately 460 PPI, and support for HDR technology, enhancing the viewing experience for visual content and games.
The phone runs on Android 16 with MagicOS 10 interfaces and is powered by the 3nm Mediatek Dimensity 9500 processor, alongside an Arm G1-Ultra graphics processor. It offers RAM options of 12 or 16 GB and internal storage starting from 256 GB and going up to 1 TB.
Regarding imaging, Honor equipped its phone with a triple rear camera setup of 64, 50, and 50 megapixels, featuring a periscope telephoto lens and an ultrawide lens, while the front camera comes at 50 megapixels, supporting 4K video recording at 60 frames per second.
The phone also supports dual SIM cards and includes a USB Type-C port, NFC technology, an under-display fingerprint scanner, and a 5000 mAh battery that supports 80-watt fast charging.
