Misrata, January 19, 2026 – The head of the Airports Authority, accompanied by department directors from the Authority, conducted a field visit to Misrata International Airport today to follow up on work progress and review the implementation level of ongoing projects.

The visit included a meeting with the airport’s general manager, his assistant, and department heads. During the meeting, completion percentages, technical and operational needs were reviewed, and key challenges and ways to address them were discussed to contribute to improving service levels.

A visual presentation was also given on the airport’s general situation, the implementation stages of current projects, and future plans for developing infrastructure and enhancing operational efficiency.

On the sidelines of the visit, the head of the Authority met with the engineers supervising the project to construct the new passenger terminal and was briefed on the work progress. He emphasized the necessity of adhering to timelines and approved standards to ensure project completion, thereby enhancing the airport’s readiness.
