The Egyptian market stabilized today, Wednesday, December 24, 2025, following an unprecedented historical surge yesterday, the highest in the history of goldsmiths, as prices broke through all traditional barriers to settle at new record levels.

Gold Prices Today, Wednesday 12/24/2025

24 karat records 6,811 pounds

21 karat records 5,960 pounds

18 karat records 5,108 pounds

Gold pound: 47,680 pounds

It was confirmed that the Egyptian market is currently undergoing a comprehensive re-evaluation phase in light of the precious metal reaching these historical peaks.

It was explained that 6,800 pounds for 24 karat represents a major turning point reflecting global investor anxiety, noting that gold is no longer just a means of adornment but has become the primary and fundamental driver of financial hedging operations for both individuals and institutions.

It was added that the current price gap expresses an immediate response to the geopolitical changes impacting the global economy, as gold remains the only currency that does not lose its luster in the face of paper currency fluctuations.

It was indicated that the Egyptian citizen now possesses significant investment awareness, with a noticeable trend of liquidity moving towards bullion, gold coins, and 24 karat more than traditional jewelry, driven by a desire to preserve value in a safe vessel that achieves real gains in the medium and long term.

Given the current circumstances, the ceiling for increases remains open to new possibilities, especially for 21 karat and 24 karat.

Observers were advised to view gold as a long-term investment, especially since current prices, although they may seem high, still express the fair value of gold in light of current global inflation and the scarcity of investment alternatives that provide the same degree of safety and instant liquidity.
