UAE company G42 is participating in a project to build data centers in Vietnam in the field of artificial intelligence, with expected investments amounting to $1 billion.
G42 is collaborating with Vietnamese companies FPT and Viettel in an alliance to establish three data centers.
A statement from G42, which specializes in artificial intelligence and cloud computing, explained that the agreement signed in Ho Chi Minh City is supported by “usage commitments worth up to $1 billion,” without specifying the size of the data centers.
UAE-US Partnership
The UAE has invested in infrastructure and skills related to artificial intelligence, seeking to occupy a prominent position in this field.
G42, which was founded in 2018 in Abu Dhabi, is establishing a one-gigawatt data center in the desert as part of the “UAE Stargate” project.
