Tripoli – An economic analyst expressed surprise at the “imbalance” in obtaining foreign currency within the Libyan market, pointing out that non-merchant citizens receive very limited allocations compared to the high ceilings granted to merchants.

The analyst called for raising the personal allowance quota for citizens, considering that this disparity creates an unjustified gap and affects the fairness in the distribution of foreign currency, at a time when living pressures on individuals are increasing.
