Bosnian player Edin Dzeko has passed his medical to join Schalke, the leaders of the German second division football league, coming from Italy’s Fiorentina.
Only the player’s signature on the contracts remains to complete the deal, after he previously agreed to personal terms with Schalke, who reached an agreement with Fiorentina regarding the transfer.
Dzeko won the German league
Dzeko (40 years old) won the German league in 2009 with Wolfsburg, and he also became the top scorer of the German league the following season.
Dzeko left Germany in 2010, and since then he has played for Manchester City, Inter Milan, and Fenerbahçe, before joining Fiorentina last summer. However, he had limited playing time with the Italian team and did not score any goals. Dzeko has also played 146 international matches for the Bosnian national team, scoring 72 goals.
