Al-Jufra, February 19, 2026 – The “Qarat Afiya for Humanitarian Work” organization has launched its Ramadan season for the current year by distributing food basket aid to needy families, those with limited income, divorcees, widows, and orphans across all areas of Al-Jufra, including Hun, Waddan, Sokna, Al-Fuqaha, in addition to Zalla municipality.

It was stated that the food baskets, containing (a carton of oil, a carton of tomatoes, 20 kg of sugar, 25 kg of rice, and an equal amount of flour), have been delivered to eligible recipients from the mentioned categories, in addition to cases classified based on health criteria, such as the presence of chronic illnesses and other conditions.

It was indicated that the survey process recorded over 300 family cases entered into a special system that will provide them with grants to cover the needs of the holy month of Ramadan.

It was said that community partnership between the Al-Jufra Municipal Council and civil society institutions contributes to helping vulnerable and most needy groups and creating a unified database for those under care.

Al-Fuqaha

Zalla
