Al Jufra – January 22, 2026 – The meeting held at the Al Jufra Security Directorate headquarters was dedicated to discussing mechanisms for activating the work of security centers in Al Jufra Municipality and enhancing their role in maintaining citizen security and protecting Libyan state assets in the region.
Attendees emphasized the importance of raising the efficiency of security performance, improving the administrative and technical readiness of police centers, alongside updating work systems by adopting modern databases that contribute to speeding up procedures, facilitating information exchange, enhancing job discipline, and raising the professional level of security personnel.
It was stated that police centers represent the first line of defense in maintaining security and stability, due to the pivotal role they play in rapid response and dealing with various daily incidents.
During the meeting, which included heads of police centers in Hun, Sokna, Waddan, Fuqaha, and Zalla, emphasis was placed on the necessity of developing the performance of these centers to ensure crime reduction and confronting negative phenomena that threaten social peace within the jurisdiction of the Al Jufra Security Directorate.
It was also confirmed that enhancing continuous and effective communication between police centers and the main operations room at the Security Directorate is crucial, as is confirming joint security coordination. This ensures unified efforts, rapid and accurate information exchange, and making appropriate decisions on various security issues.
There was a renewed emphasis on the necessity of pursuing individuals wanted for security reasons, reducing crimes and assaults, and confronting behaviors alien to Al Jufra society. At the same time, emphasis was placed on intensifying field work and strengthening the relationship with citizens, which contributes to consolidating security, stability, and protecting the social fabric of the region.
