The Benin national team defeated its Botswanan counterpart with a score of one goal to nil in the match that brought them together this Saturday, as part of the second round of matches in Group Four of the Africa Cup of Nations championship.

The Benin national team scored the match’s only goal in the 28th minute, when Johan Roche fired a powerful shot that deflected off Botswana defender Tatayaone Ditlhokwe and found the back of the net.

With this victory, the Benin national team revived its hopes of qualifying for the knockout stages after securing its first three points in the Africa Cup of Nations championship, having previously lost its first-round match against the Democratic Republic of Congo by a single goal.

In contrast, the Botswana national team remained without any points at the bottom of the group standings, having previously lost its first-round match against the Senegalese national team by three clean goals.

Benin
