Benghazi, February 5, 2026 – The Office for Women’s Support and Empowerment at the University of Benghazi has concluded a specialized training course in sewing and tailoring. The course is part of ongoing efforts to support women and develop their professional skills.

The course lasted for a full month, with sessions held three days a week. It aimed to enhance women’s capabilities and open new horizons for empowerment and production through intensive practical training on the basics and techniques of sewing, as well as aspects of entrepreneurship.

The course was held at the Research Center in the Al-Humaidah area and saw the participation of a number of female university employees alongside women from the local community. This convergence opens the door for the exchange of experiences and enhances the office’s community role.

There was an emphasis on the importance of continuing such programs, which contribute to supporting women and developing their skills both inside and outside the university. The office seeks to organize similar training courses in various fields in the coming period.
