The Libyan Football Federation’s Competitions Committee conducted the draw for the preliminary round of the Libya Cup for the 2025–2026 sports season, resulting in a number of matchups in the first and second zones.
In the first zone, Al-Tarsana Club will meet Al-Qadisiyah, while Al-Sadaqa faces Al-Dhahra, and Al-Shumoo plays against Abi Al-Ashur. The team of Ittihad Gharyan was exempted from this round, qualifying directly for the round of 32.
In the second zone, the draw resulted in a matchup between Tajammu’ Khalij Surt and Al-Ittihad Al-Askari. Meanwhile, the teams of Wefaq Ajdabiya, Al-Muruj, and Al-Afriqi qualified directly for the round of 32 without playing the preliminary round. The competition regulations stipulate that teams exempt from this round qualify directly for the round of 32 of the Libya Cup.
