Tripoli, February 2, 2026 – The Minister of Tourism and Traditional Industries of the Government of National Unity met with the Mayor of Jadu Municipality to discuss ways to enhance and develop the tourism sector in Jadu Municipality. Both sides emphasized the importance of unifying efforts among the relevant authorities to advance this vital sector.

During the meeting, which was held at the Ministry’s headquarters in Tripoli, mechanisms for developing local tourism assets and how to optimally invest them were discussed. The importance of preserving the rich cultural heritage and civilizational legacy of the city of Jadu was also emphasized, as this contributes to highlighting its historical and cultural identity and enhancing its tourist appeal.

Both sides affirmed the necessity of supporting initiatives and development projects related to tourism and traditional industries, in addition to preparing a suitable environment for investment and creating job opportunities for youth. These steps aim to drive sustainable development, achieve balanced local development, and solidify Jadu’s position as one of the leading tourist destinations.
