He joined the first team in the 1983-1984 season when he was just fifteen years old, after being selected by the famous coach Florian Albert to be part of the first-team squad.
Wanees Khair made his official debut for Al-Ahli on June 10, 1984, becoming the second youngest player to participate in an official match in the club’s history, marking the beginning of a journey full of dedication and achievements.
During his career, he led the team to win the Libyan League title in 1992 and contributed to winning the Libyan Cup in the 1987-1988 and 1990-1991 seasons, ensuring his name remains etched in the memory of Al-Ahli fans as one of its historical symbols.
