The Libyan Association for Literature and Arts, hosted by the Tripoli Local Radio, is organizing a cultural seminar titled “Readings in the Sira of Light and Darkness,” dedicated to the works of writer Ahmed Al-Bukhari. The event will take place on Tuesday evening, January 6, 2026, at 5:00 PM at the Planetarium Theater in Tripoli, and the public is invited.
The seminar will feature critical readings of Ahmed Al-Bukhari’s narrative project, focusing on the imaginary worlds and the structure of symbolic conflict within the “Sira of Light and Darkness” series.
The seminar will also discuss several works from the series, including “The Outcast,” “The Stranger,” “The Harbinger,” and “Astrolabes,” examining the development of the novelistic structure and the distinctive features of blending fantasy with human and philosophical questions that characterize the writer’s work.
About the Series
The “Sira of Light and Darkness” series is a complete fantasy narrative project by writer Ahmed Al-Bukhari. Its parts have been published successively since its launch and have achieved a notable presence in the Libyan literary scene due to its cohesive epic structure and symbolic employment of the conflict between good and evil, light and darkness, within a single, expansive fictional world.
