Abu Salim Education Monitoring Launches Women’s Empowerment Department
Tripoli, July 29, 2026 – The Abu Salim Education and Teaching Monitoring Office witnessed on Tuesday evening the inauguration of the Women’s Empowerment Department, in the presence of the Mayor of the Abu Salim Municipality, the Deputy Minister of Education for Monitoring Affairs, and a number of ministry and monitoring officials, in a step aimed at enhancing the role of women within educational institutions.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by the Abu Salim Education and Teaching Monitor, the Director of the Women’s Support and Empowerment Department at the Ministry of Education, the Head of the Teachers’ Syndicate in Abu Salim, the Director of the Autism Center, along with a number of directors of departments, offices, and divisions in the ministry and monitoring office.
The Mayor of Abu Salim Municipality, in a speech on the occasion, affirmed the municipality’s support for initiatives that contribute to empowering women and enhancing their presence and role within institutions, stressing the importance of activating the Women’s Empowerment Department for its role in developing women’s capabilities and enhancing their participation in various fields.
He praised the efforts made to establish the department, considering women’s empowerment an important step towards building more effective institutions.
