Tripoli, July 29, 2026 – The General Administration of the Electrical Police announced the apprehension of an individual by patrols of the Electrical Police branch in Al-Jafara, after it was proven that he had encroached on electrical power transmission towers by exploiting their iron to build enclosures, a violation that harms the infrastructure of the electrical grid and endangers it.
The Administration stated, in a post on its page, on Tuesday evening, that legal measures have been taken against the accused, and he has been referred to the Public Prosecution to complete investigations and take the necessary actions according to the law.
The General Administration of the Electrical Police affirmed its continued firm stance against all forms of encroachments on electrical facilities, and its refusal to tolerate any practices that would harm the electrical grid or endanger it, in order to preserve public property and ensure the continuity of service provision to citizens.
