Mutaz Al-Shalmani will officiate the match between Nahdat Berkane and Nigeria’s Rivers United in the fifth round of the African Champions League, which will be held tonight at 20:00.

Mutaz Al-Shalmani will be assisted in managing the match by Manji Bushkiweh as the first assistant, Bassem Saif Al-Nasr as the second assistant, and Mohammed Al-Shuhoumi as the fourth official.

Mutaz Al-Shalmani is considered one of the elite referees on the African continent, having received the award for Best African Referee of the Year in 2025 last season.

Nahdat Berkane

Nahdat Berkane is a Moroccan football club based in Berkane, founded in 1938. It is historically significant as one of the oldest clubs in the country and has gained prominence in the 21st century by winning multiple Moroccan Throne Cups and the CAF Confederation Cup.
