Al Jufra, February 19, 2026 – The Qarat Afiya Organization for Humanitarian Work has launched its Ramadan season for the current year by distributing food basket aid to needy families, those with limited income, divorcees, widows, and orphans in the regions of Al Jufra, Hun, Waddan, Sokna, and Al Fuqaha, in addition to Zalla Municipality.

The food baskets included a carton of oil, tomatoes, 20 kilograms of sugar, 25 kilograms of rice, and a similar quantity of flour. The aid was delivered to eligible recipients from the mentioned categories, in addition to cases classified based on health conditions such as chronic diseases and others.

The enumeration process recorded more than three hundred family cases, which were included in a special system to provide grants covering their needs throughout the holy month of Ramadan.

Community partnership between the Al Jufra Municipal Council and civil society institutions contributes to supporting vulnerable and most needy groups and helps establish a unified database for beneficiaries of humanitarian care programs.
