Tripoli, February 17, 2026 – The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) has launched a platform for all Libyans across the country and those residing abroad to contribute their views and recommendations on the issues being discussed within the structured dialogue tracks by participating in an online opinion poll.
According to the Mission, this initiative is part of a campaign titled “Give_Your_Opinion.” The results of this survey will be presented to the members of the structured dialogue tracks to be incorporated into their discussions. They will also be provided to the Mission’s leadership and made public.
This survey includes important questions addressing the four tracks of the structured dialogue: Governance, Economy, Security, and National Reconciliation and Human Rights. It is available to all Libyans until early April 2026.
Data will be collected throughout the holy month of Ramadan. The Mission hopes this data will enrich the discussions of the dialogue members, help them develop insights that address people’s issues and concerns, and propose suitable implementation mechanisms to ensure the effectiveness and application of the outcomes emerging from the structured dialogue.
It was stated that “the United Nations does not predetermine for the participants what the Libyan people need. Instead, it facilitates communication among Libyans themselves to find solutions and propose realistic ways forward.”
It was added that “every Libyan citizen has a role in shaping the future of this country. By participating in this poll, everyone can present their ideas, and the UN Mission will ensure they are included in the agenda of the structured dialogue tracks it facilitates.”
