The exchange rate of the US dollar in Libya’s parallel market saw a new increase, recording 9.81 dinars in cash during Sunday’s trading, according to dealers.
The dollar had closed last Thursday’s trading at 9.58 dinars, compared to 9.08 dinars at the end of trading on Saturday, February 7, 2026, reflecting an increase of approximately 50 qirsh within one week.
This rise comes amid the continuing gap between the official price and the black market price, in light of the increasing demand for foreign currency with the approach of the holy month of Ramadan.
