Sebha, February 12, 2026 – The Republic Bank held a celebration today, Thursday, on the occasion of opening a new branch in the Al-Raqibah Municipality, as part of its plan to enhance and bring banking services closer to citizens across the nation.
The celebration was attended by the Chairman of the Bank’s Board of Directors, the General Manager, the Director of the Southern Region Branches Administration, municipal mayors of the region, a number of department directors from the Central Bank of Libya’s Sebha branch, the manager of the Republic Bank’s Al-Raqibah branch, members of the Al-Raqibah Municipal Council, the director of the Ubari Security Directorate, dignitaries, elders, and a crowd of local residents.
During the celebration, several speeches were delivered expressing joy at the opening of this bank branch, which will effectively contribute to providing and facilitating various banking services.
Following this, participants in the celebration took a tour of the bank’s facilities, reviewing the equipment and technologies it has been supplied with, which will meet the requirements and services of the area’s citizens in the banking field.
In a statement, the General Manager of the bank confirmed that the opening of this branch comes as an implementation of the institution’s plan to provide services to citizens in the southern region.
Sebha
