The head of products at Cisco has announced the development of the first technical product with 100% of its code written by artificial intelligence, with expectations that the number of such products will reach six by the end of 2026.
In an interview, it was stated that this transformation is seen as a way to triple productivity by reducing human teams and supporting them with “digital agents.” However, this comes with unprecedented security warnings; these agents are likened to employees who need a “background check” before being granted execution permissions.
Cisco is currently investing billions of dollars to build dual protection systems, aiming on one hand to protect these agents from external attacks, and on the other to protect the world from the danger of them “running amok” or going out of control.
The Alliance of Human Cadres and Artificial Intelligence
Regarding the future of human cadres, a frank and honest language is adopted; it is not believed that artificial intelligence will directly take away jobs, but rather the person who masters its use will be the one to do so.
– A Russian project to convert pigeons into military drones and ambitions to “reprogram” humans
– A partnership in the field of cloud computing
– Researchers create a robotic system capable of performing precise eye surgeries
Therefore, a new standard has been set for developers, which involves the necessity of adopting artificial intelligence as a fundamental work habit, transitioning from traditional methodologies to development based on detailed specifications where humans supervise and review what the machine produces.
Through this integrated approach, which extends from silicon chip manufacturing to software applications, the aspiration is to become the fundamental infrastructure for the age of artificial intelligence.
It is believed that the grand prize of this development lies in these systems’ ability to generate “original insights” that did not exist in the repository of human knowledge, which may contribute to solving major global dilemmas in areas such as healthcare, poverty, and energy.
